There's a long background story to Kaumaya and his B-Cell tech in its early days (pre-Imugene). If anyone is interested, and if you dig deeper than just a Google search, you'll discover it.
I've approached LC about it in a short email a few years ago, and I got a very short and straight answer that put my concerns at ease.
