Four$. ... “ I don't know Leslie. No doubt there are people on this forum with a better appreciation of her abilities as a biotech CEO “
I feel very fortunate to have met LC on multiple occasions at investor presentations, AGM’s, private discussions, etc etc over a 4 year period.
Each time I came away thoroughly impressed with the guts of what she had to say, regardless of the delivery, and what stood out was what an incredibly smart individual, completely on top of her game and 110% obsessed with going about the challenge in front of her. Faultless . I don’t even remember the colour of her shoes, it simply did not matter, it is so irrelevant it is not worth noting! Each time I met her I immediately bought more shares. ( and same again with meeting Axel Hoos). Again. And again. Her conviction is contagious if you meet her and start talking about what the program here actually involves.
What stood out was , for both, they are not spruikers , fakers and fast money agents, they are on a mission and between them both their list of accomplishments and experiences in delivering a successful clinical trial to a pharmaceutical product is beyond reproach.
I understand the message which you are trying to convey 4$, but be fair, LC has never been trained to be an actor in front of a camera. I myself would buckle if I was put in that situation. But it is part of her job as CEO to do this sort of interview whether she likes it or not, whether she is good at or not, and whether or not she is the most articulate person in the city. If she didn’t do these interviews people would be screaming “ Why doesn’t she ever say anything” ! So perhaps its wiser to focus on the message that she is trying to convey and not shoot her down because you don’t like her choice of words or grammar.
By saying “ a dream for an analyst to cover” , perhaps think about that too.... How do you really quantify something that has such an exciting deep pipeline, something that has the potential to revolutionise the treatment of cancer by rendering chemotherapy and monoclonal antibodies redundant. Something that has so many variables to go into the spreadsheet to come up with a fair valuation? It is quite challenging as I have tried it.
Maybe if you are such a good judge, you could run the ruler over the Roth analyst’s work and suggest whether it reaches your expectations or if he too should also keep it to himself as well. There are many things in it which could have been done differently or worded differently, and for some analysts no doubt it would be a dream , a challenge, a tough project, or a work of art, maths and science combined into one, to produce a brilliant piece of research that is hard to find any faults with.
My grandmother who scored the perfect century from 1900- 2000 always loved to say “Never judge a book by its cover”. And, “ Always be honest, fair and kind and these things will come back to you” .
