I feel the same.
I wouldn't touch African shares if you gave them to me for free.
South America is better than Africa but still prone to potential upheaval.
Eastern Europe (especially Russia)? good god, on second thought I'll take the African stock!
The US and Western Europe - Politically stable, but too crowded - Try to dig a hole anywhere and someone is sure to get pissed off and protest.
The only exception I would make is Canada - It's basically Australia, shoved in the freezer - similar politics and investment culture plus similar vast stretches of low population.
