simple answer, more expensive to go to base powered generator.
The carrot has been dangled here, and if the SA gov really want to provide power to the state, maybe, just MAYBE, they need the resource enough to help fund the project.
If not, ..... back to fertiliser. There will be plenty of surplus gas to sell on to other companies that are interested as has been shown with replies to the EIO that was advertised nationally.
