multiple factors. look at google buying YouTube. it wasn't until YouTube was the most successful streaming service in the world to then get a billion dollar buyout from goog. big pharma can watch potential grow into an absolute no brainer, then splash out and buy. the less risky an investment the better. once you deal with companies that are 50bn + it just comes down to % instead of larger risks for larger rewards j reckon.
also may be fun and games as tho who might be suppressing the price right now.
also mgmt may be waiting til their numbers are juicier to then take it to the party and see what $$$$$ they could get.
