these drugs cost nothing for big pharma to make tbh and hospitals and pharmacies will still keep large amounts of stock regardless - it is the pharmacies selling them will lose out more
the big hitch here for uptake is the cost price of an antibiotic being so miniscule (from cents to dollars) vs the high upfront cost of these tests … the CPT reimbursement codes will be a massive tool to enable febridx uptake and will cause a significant uptake of this product in the US IMO - they’ve mentioned they are lookign at this and granting of this would be a major derisking event (I’ve been spectating a while and bought in today - still catching up to date … maybe they’ve already gotten some codes for it ?)
