LDX has openly stated that they have focused their limited resources on the US market, and that they have done so because the USA has PLA reimbursement (as per below article).
Some individuals on here continuously comment on UK sales or Aus sales (or any other country for that matter), but IMO, these posters fail to understand the basic principles of good business.
For instance, as a growth company with limited resources,
why would LDX focus those limited resources on Aus, a country of only ~27 million people which has a relatively small economy, when LDX can better focus those resources on the USA, a country of over ~300 million people with a massive economy which can afford to reimburse the cost of use for FebriDX, and which has a Total Available Market (TAM) of over $1.7 billion dollars (as per below image). Clearly a focus on the USA is better business policy.
Also, the USA still leads global policy uptake in general, so if FebriDx becomes govt policy in the USA, the other countries like UK and Aus Govt are likely to follow and make the use of FebriDx Govt policy also.
In essence, LDX success in the USA can easily translate into a win across the globe. As i said, it seems a few posters on this thread fail to understand basic concepts and principles when it comes to business management, marketing, sales, and global politics.
I fully support LDX's decision to focus prominently on the USA, while still making FebriDx available in other countries for uptake, but not necessarily applying the same resources and efforts in those other countries until they establish FebriDx in USA.
