a. Larger distributors buy up front and stock the product on their own accord (refer to me email with Jane earlier today). You would assume those stockists such as HS would stock a thousand or so boxes for worldwide distribution. That could be around $450,000 worth of product for HS. Thermo could now be similar so between the two you could guess that they could stock around $1Million worth of product between them for shipping. I think any advertisement online that says "1 day shipping" or "next day shipping" would likely be a self stockist:
b. They would also see the drop shipping orders come through their internal sales POS system which would track the smaller orders from Wilburn, NHD Distribution, Mercedes Scientific etc which could be direct orders from the GP/POC practice for 10 boxes at a time etc.
If they released an announcement pre quarterly saying Lumos achieves first $1Million in sales" so far this quarter announcement, then people would be jumping at the bit to buy in anticipation for the final figures in the quarterly.
Alas, Doug has said he wont provide guidance, but nothing says he cant provide actuals?
