Maybe more money would be loaned to buy shares in start ups, you know the ones that Malcolm is saying will come up with the innovations that will save us lol.
Certainly new construction might get a boost under Labor’s proposal, so why would rents necessarily go up as more new properties add to the actual number of available stock. Rents go up due to demographics, supply/demand issues and while money is invested in existing property to be rented out and less in new construction as is currently the case that certainly is a recipe for less stock overall and the consequential higher rents.
