Froggy, the reason behind the leadership speculation is liberal MP's worried the will lose at the next election.

As such they would be looking at a new leader that could take them to an election win, on all accounts Turnbull stands out as the one that could do that.

Morrison is very capable but even he would realise that he is not all that popular with voters, he would be better off backing Turnbull becoming treasurer which would improve his profile then take over from Turnbull at a latter date.

I find the objections to Turnbull amusing and little illogical
