DickRussell, I interpret your foul use of language as an inability to embrace the future and to re-configure your thought processes to accommodate it.
There's no doubt that I hold a challenging vision for our future and an agenda to that end! Nor have I made a secret of that on this forum; from backing a cutting edge NBN to properly resourcing public education.
IMO Australia needs to become a more mature, socially dynamic and economically diversified nation in an environmentally sustainable context. In a nutshell that explains my belief in the need for Australia to become a republic with our own elected leader, for us to embrace cutting edge technologies and a renewables sector that will increasingly drive productivity gains and lower emissions.
Living in the coal age may have romantic overtones but it is a recipe for Australia becoming the next Cuba, Argentina, Greece or North Korea.
