IMHO most people make a mistake when they expect Trump to act like a politician or a diplomat
He is basically a businessman

Losing face does not matter, his driving aim is to make a good deal, so any deal he makes today he can remake in 12 months time when he is in a stronger situation

As to the impeachment, that is just a measure of how much the democrat politicians hate him, and they will do any stupid thing that comes along because they know at the next election they will be wiped out unless they can weaken him now
