When you fly you have to go to the station, go to a cab, go to a tram, get to an airport, go through security, sit in departure lounge, get on plane, wait for weather, fog etc... fly, land get bags, go back to your location via cab/tram/train/bus etc... get through traffic and congestion etc..
We are talking about bypassing all that with VTOL and maglev so the transport is quicker and far more convenient with less interruption
