Bed bugs & fungal outbreaks occurr from time to time, even in 5 star hotels. (documented on tv last year)
One would hope under any circumstance that cleaning is to the highest standard possible.
Bringing human rights into the equation is a joke.
Send the striking workers to Thailand or the Philipines where the 457 visa workers come from, to work for a month stint. They would not last very long and would soon realise how superior pay, safety, health and general conditions are on construction sites in Australia.
I hold no grudge against unions and in fact believe they are a neccessity in todays society but unions that are moderate and operate with common sense are required.
Not militant unions run by standover merchants who threaten people who dare to disagree.
I would be very surprised if the unions are not involved as you stated. Am sure i saw a prominent militant unionist on the tv news a few nights ago in a story associated with the strike in Karratha.
