    I am wondering if a game of "chicken" is in progress re. the leases.

    Both GGP and the claimant/litigant know that time is running out. If it does then most leases are worth nothing. Neither party will want this.

    This will sharpen both minds, and possibly make a compromise more likely. (Assuming that the litigant has a valid claim).

    This might unlock a JV. Lets hope so.

    Just MHO.
