All financial markets are intensely fishy atm and are starting to smell like my EPA/DHA tablets the ones that my wife always complains about - apparently it makes my breath smell really bad and she refuses my advances - have also noticed the ladies around work staying clear. Anywho, oh the confusion...

Possibly the answer isn't as easy as deflation or inflation, the world has changed dramatically over the last 20yrs: End of the cold war, aids in Africa, Iraq, internet boom/bust, 9/11, Iraq (thought I forgot to mention it then realised that Bush snr and jr enjoyed playing in the sand), China/India/Brazil financial metamorphosis and now the credit crunch, and many more, although the most import is population explosion. We simply have too many ppl wanting a slice of the pie, there ain't enough, the world can't handle its veracity to consume organic matter nor can it cope with the environmental toll it will leave for future generations - capitalism is failing right in front of your eyes because the system is unsustainable to support the exponential needs of a growing middle class.

Capitalism + too many countries adopting it - too many socialist states failing = majour world imbalance!
