Ummm Ok. Maybe i have misunderstood what was meant by fire regulations then in that discussion. I was talking tree clearing around properties. It is the trees around the house that contribute to the burn during a bush-fire....... less trees then less burn. Some councils make it very difficult to remove trees around houses....... right up until someone dies usually. A bit like there will be no back-burning type thing...... right up until the middle of summer when the fire has already started and then you can back-burn all you like. Seems arse about to me.

Councils don't make the rules about burning off. They have no power to do that. Trees maybe where you are, not where I live. You can cut down anything you want to close to your house.
