It's actually entirely wrong. We are not a socialist country. While we have partially adopted some elements of socialism, the welfare safety net for example, a truly socialist country has the ownership of business in the govt hands and taxes/hands out welfare to everyone till all receive the same. We are not socialist and only stupid people would suggest that having a govt that provides services makes us socialist
