" One of the main reasons the Lnp got booted over a cliff at the last election was their absence in dealing with Co2. The Teals would not exist if it were not for that. Now a fool like you is saying that it doesn't matter what Govt's do because it's all a sham."

Not sure what that has to do with the Canadian government banning positive commentary on fossil fuel while the country produces and exports the stuff in increasing, and record, quantities.

"Therefore there is still a demand for certain products."

    You got that right, Comrade.

And, yes, so you and your kind are now having to concede, after years of calling for the end of fossil fuels, and especially now that it is becoming clear that the Great Green Dream isn't all that it was cracked up to be.

As for fossil demand falling in 6 years' time, you clearly are unable to interpret empirical evidence:

That chart contains some very big circles - collectively representing 5 or 6 billion people living in countries - just about to enter the steep part of that curve, and almost certain to still be climbing it for the next three or four decades. So good luck with your delusions of fossil fuel demand falling any time in coming decades.

This discussion reminds of me of the article I read in the Economist magazine in the early 2000s, entitled "Peak Oil", which predicted oil demand to start falling by 2010. Instead, oil demand today is 23% higher than it was in 2010.

As you say, demand for fossil fuel products exists, and it does so for jolly good reason, as no less than you yourself would know that given you are surrounded by those jolly good reasons every minute of every day of your life.
