As a former mine manager if I ignored a hazard identified by employers or safety officers and this hazard led to destruction or death I would be languishing in prison with all my assets seized. Similarly, the board who allowed or prevented me to deal with the hazard would also be prosecuted. Why then are green councils and their General Managers who refused to allow fuel reductions in their area immune to such prosecution.......or are they. Come on Slater and Gordon. What about a action Class Action citing this negligence. Or are you more interested in suing the big end of town. Left leaning governments and Councils have allowed the fuel to accumulate to extremely dangerous levels. They are culpable in any mans law. Prosecute them!
