It will be insane if Malaysian Kuantan resident allows this plant to go ahead. Malaysian simply do not want a rare earth processing plant in out backyard. Malaysian had similar experience before in Bukit Merah Mitsubisi rare earth plant. Radiation leak causes hundreds of residents illness and babies born deformed.
Lynas should have build the plant here in Australia, provide jobs and efficient processing of rare earth. IMO Lynas Management have made the wrong decision just to save the labour cost and getting tangled into this mess.
I don't own LYC, i always wanted to until i realise rare earth plant is build in Kuantan, i am commenting as a concerned Malaysian resident.
