This seems extremely strange to me. Are you sure it wasn't another date before the trial? If the trial was set for 7 April 2015, in my experience the Judge would not be at all impressed if the parties were to deviate from this date. Did you hear what directions were made?
Were the last directions posted here on HC even real?
This doesn't make sense to me.
