Firstly I am not a holder of BCS nor do I have any interest in this company.
Secondly, 'off market' trades and on market trades' are treated differently under Australian Law. If an 'off market' trade is perceived as a vehicle to avoid creditors (more commonly used to transfer assets when initiating bankruptcy) it can and most certainly will be reversed.
Finally, should an individual transfer there shares with a perceived liability illegitimately to avoid such debt it would have the undertones of fraud and the possibility of criminal investigation.
Jist thought I would post this as I couldn't help but be bewildered by the 'fantasy land' advice being offered on this site.
