BTU bathurst resources limited

legal process

    Like many I am beginning to get a little irritated at the actions of the green vigilantes who IMO are totally ignoring the net benefit that the BTU mine will ultimately bring to the local region and country as a whole.

    In summary I see these as including to name a few:
    a) Direct and indirect job creation;
    b) Revenue generation for bodies ranging from the local councils all the way up to the national government (translated means local facilities, schools, teachers etc etc);
    c) Conservation, primarily by removal of introduced predatory species; and
    d) Initiatives to protect the flora and fauna within the mine area.

    However I recognise and respect that in a democracy the legal process must be observed and the green vigilantes have every right to take the matter to court. At the same time that same legal system allows the winning party to recover costs etc they have incurred.

    I would like to see BTU exercise their rights under that same democratic process and apply for full recovery of all costs incurred. Maybe then some sanity will prevail.

    Otherwise I continue to hold patiently knowing that the chances of a negative outcome are virtually negligible.
