There are Thousands of Mining and prospecting Lease Holders in WA, If the Minister overrules the decision of the Warden he risks opening the flood gates for everyone who has forfeited their leases due to the same mistake and there are hundreds of them. The best option I think is for the minister to support the wardens decision and the Leases be vacated and Kdr attempt to get them back which is highly unlikely as there will be dozens of people waiting for the ground to be dropped so they can peg it and apply for it themselves.
If they do lose it they can still attempt to purchase it for the parties that get granted the Leases for it.
Rules are rules no matter how much they have or haven't spent,
Cheers
