(in my head, correct me if im wrong).. but the more they poke at the industry the more likely gov will have to step in and rebuy/recreate it. private is for profit, not for the australian community sadly.
with the amount of ohs requirements in gov related jobs and the tendency to not cut the fat from their workforce, their bottom line would already be higher than the current requiring more of the tax payers budget to go into the energy sector. no matter which way you look at it, the community will feel the burn either from their pocket or from another sector that has to sacrifice funding
realistically, as a government, all we ask them is to have like 1-5% profit headway for upkeep and future infrastructure changes. anything over 5% can be subsidized into incentive programs for a bigger buy back of solar rebates as a random example.
