    My understanding is when you buy a uranium contract today you're getting delivery way down the track in the future.

    US sanctions scene right now; future contracts are banned but current contracts are honoured. Technically, utility companies have already paid for the Russian uranium many months ago. If these are banned that wouldn't hurt Russia given they've already been paid.

    Because of the way uranium is bought isn't it effectively current US purchases (future delivery) are banned?
