Have just read that non-banks such as credit unions and building societies along with 'aussie home loans' type of lenders have MUCH higher mortgage termination fees/penalties than the banks!! Hence, these institutions could also experience a large exodus of customers. Banks have deep pockets for advertising etc and will fight for mkt share.
PS. knew WBC was ex-div today but size of fall surprised me.
