That muslim community are certainly opening up a can of worms there if they are trying to make their claims stick:
1/ On the basis, as denmor mentioned that this building was originally a church that was captured by the muslims and taken over...however, it is no longer a mosque, but a museum.
2/ They have hedged their bets and claimed that if it is not modeled on Hagia Sophia, it is It also claims the model is similar to the Jami al-Kabir mosque in Beirut.
However, what they don't mention is that these buildings are simply examples of Byzantine architecture, of which Cathedrals, Temples, Synagogues and other buildings with dome like structures were very common.
I hope Lego takes them on, drags it out and then counter sues for damages - the only problem is then, the community that is sueing them will conveniently disappear, but then no official religious body (because there actually is no formal hierarchy in that religion) will accept any connection with the group.
