. Everyone in prison is there based on a probability based assessment of what most likely happened. To release those who are probably guilty would be to open the gate of every jail in the country. At least in Lehrmann's case he was the instigator of proceedings with full knowledge of the method by which they are assessed. He was awarded every fairness a system can possibly muster.
