At the end of the day though @MuppetPastor, we can't completely blame others, yeah there are some wrong doers that should be dealt with, but it is also our responsibility to do our own research thoroughly or find a good professional financial advisor to help us out (keeping in mind a financial advisor from the bank probably won't recommend the spec end and may warn against taking advice on public forums), and when we push that buy or sell button is ultimately up to us too, unless your share trading account got hacked....

However if GS is right you may get a 2nd chance here and if not here you may get a 2nd chance elsewhere, but there are disclaimers everywhere that people don't read on how risky the market is, even Tony Locantro will tell you, you can do 80% of your money in the market, and he deals with spec stocks....

I don't take out a loan out on stocks or self manage a super fund on that reason, (I rather leave my super the professionals and let it compound and grow over the years, who cares if it's 7% or 8% per annum, it all adds up, so long as they know how to make it grow).
