They are simply risk averse, process oriented, institutional investment managers that plug the consensus forecast price for iron ore of about US$40 into their models and come up with DCF that suggests Atlas is worth next to nothing. Even though the consensus forecast has been way off the mark for the past 8 months, none of them are going to risk their jobs on a bet that the future price will be higher than consensus.
