length of time for annoucement

With the annoucnement due now/soon/yesterday.
Does anyone have any experience with similar stocks if the delay is generally good or bad for the content of said annoucnement?
Is it potentially bad cause its flowing so slow there isn't much oil?
I have both heads and options and would obviously love a surprise on the upside.
Just wondering what, if anything, the delay might mean.
