to the US$ 1,250/ton as from DFS in little more than 1 year ???????
IMO even half of US$ 8288/ton is not going to happen, lets not forget that LCE /Hydroxide and Spod. are not commodities traded on western future market like many other main stream commodities.
Benchmark contract prices will reduce volatility on Li prices and possibly for LCE/Hydroxide at lower prices we could witness some buying coming trough from car makers and battery maker, for strategic stockage.
In short yes.. we could see a price correction at some point in time, but imo wont be so severe. Moreover given the dynamics of Lithium price trend, any price forecast beyond 12 months is pure speculation......hence long term price forecast of US$ 900/ton from DFS is irrelevant.

Just saying.....worst case scenario Spod at US$ 4,000/ton for LLL entitlement of 227k Phase 1 = some AU$ 1.3 Billions
more than twice current market cap.
