I have thought about this, assuming it would cost them around 11 billion allowing over 10 billion to build infrastructure, then they acquire possibly 1.5 billion tons of ore and save 35 days at sea for each trip.
The question is if they have say unlimited ore back in South America then the extra ore is of no interest, but the saving of 35 days at sea is of interest. You pay for a lot of days at sea for 11 billion. Simple mathematics which RIO BHPBIO and FMS would have in their spreadsheets.
Anyone, thoughts on this.
