Who is DM dare i ask,but regarding IP its bs,if you have the money and contacts then IP is great as long as you don't transfer it to china.
But if you are a new comer to legal protection of IP then good luck,any small change by competitors and you will have issues with with protection not to mention the required deep pockets .
But back to the issue ,the US economy.
