The Wildebeest follow the leader, the Crocs are waiting at the river crossing but they follow on relentlessly knowing this time will be different, I am going to make it. There will be enough left in the heard for the next big run. The memories will not be accepted by the young in the heard and the big migration run starts at full speed and they jump in the river not believing the stories of the old ones and the old ones will be eaten anyway.
Natural selection. The wise old bull will spur on the young guns while he pulls back waiting for the crocs to have their fill and thin the heard. The wise old Bull will be their for the next run after the massacre is over and the memories are passed on unheeded by the young bulls and so the runs will continue. The wise old bull will be with the cows while the young guns will be with the Crocs.
