Thought I would start a new thread to see if anyone would be willing and open to share their lessons learnt from previous good and bad decisions made to enable all investors to make smarter decisions in the future.

As some posters have already identified, portfolio management and diversification across different market sectors and asset classes are some of the more basic points but would be interested to hear what others had done or come across in their time.
