ALK and LYC are now at virtually the same s/p of 40c
Which is the best bet for future s/p appreciation?
ALK can learn from LYC's experiences and avoid some of the pitfalls.
Tomingly will be a nice cash earner for ALK ... esp. as the gold price strengthens.
I like the sensible way ALK is progressing the DZP and it's strategic links with interested major players.
I can't really see any major issues with environmental issues as government approval, given the magnitude of the project and the large scale economic benefits that will ensue once all of the regulatory boxes are ticked, will be pretty routine.
The resource itself is world class with a very long life and the whole project does not have that "sword of Damocles" sovereign risk overhanging it as does LYC with its Malaysian operations.
So, at current prices I would much rather have my hard earned with ALK rather than LYC .... which is, in fact, thankfully where it is.
