As anti war as I am, I have to admit WW2 was a battle that maybe could not have been avoided.

Like all wars it was based mostly on economics.

My father fought in WW2 and like all who fight was left with doubts and scars.

War is the ultimate failure of all of us.

We condemn it when our kids fight over a toy, yet praise nations when they fight over a bigger prize.

In the end it is a failure of diplomacy and accommodation of a nations problems.

Its easy to say no one wants war but I am not sure that is true.

It has been said that creating a vast army means it has to be used and history agrees.

I have no problem with any nation having a "Defence" force.

But let it be a defence force and NOT an invasion force.
