US has a lot of conservatives, but also a lot of more far more liberal people.
We see greater extremes on both ends of the spectrum in the US. For example, weed being legal for some years now in some areas, but not in others.
Right now it's still just simply too difficult for residents of some states to get a bet on. Once gambling is legalised in all 50, and sportsbooks can take money from residents anywhere, the fountain will run green!
