News coverage surrounding the initial PW discovery outlined that Alex Hewlett had been negotiating to buy Penny West for many months, prior to any meetings between Venus/DJC.
Alex Hewlett’s father was employed by Metana/Eastmet as a geologist and he worked at PW in the 1990’s.
Given both the Hewlett’s are geologists, jnr must surely have understood much more about the history and potential of PW than anyone else looking to acquire it?
If Venus really knew so much about the potential, why did they not purchase it? Why has Venus waited over 12 months before crying (or begging) for a foul?
In my opinion, the courts aren’t going to like it.
Will Venus prove DJC ever breached their CA?
Regardless, proving that Hewlett jnr had used any (supposed) Venus privy material information ahead of his own knowledge to negotiate, purchase, explore and then discover this great big pot of gold is going to be most entertaining.
Let’s wait and see it, to believe it.
The longer this drags out, the happier it must be for the lawyers, and the higher a damages bill will be coming to the most likely loser.
