Let’s start afresh - it is about future price which is about current perception of profit, page-95

Should it be announced that AMP will be looking to buy back shares (my preference over a special dividend) does anyone have a quick back of the envelope calculation as to what this could potentially look like as far as share price appreciation?  

I could be on the wrong track here but if say they bought back $1B worth of shares at say $2.75 (assuming some up trending over the coming months) removing c. 364m worth of shares would have a $0.35 effect to current holders?

I like how De Ferrari has articulated that his order of business revolves around the customers, shareholders and staff but I fear that the Merlons and Allan Grays of the world will be pushing for clarification on the use of funds from the sale of the life business sooner rather than later...
