There are many older people who are willing and able to work
People who have money to finance themselves in a two or three day job, people who have skills some of the younger ones only dream of, skills they can pass on.
But it is not economically viable to do so as the earning limit is set too low, in this day and age when a person on a basic wage job earns weekly what we would have earned in a year, so the threshold is ridiculously low and behind the times, and then they say there are not enough workers
It is another example of government doing the opposite of what they say
