TEN will definitely be taken over soon enough. About 67% of the stock is owned by the big guys Murdoch, Packer, Reinhart and Gordon et al; with only about 33% trading freely it wouldn't be that difficult or costly to pay extra and clean up the registry. Late November last year the Australian Communications and Media Authority said it wouldn't have a problem with that, and the current ratings trough, which can only get better from here will be used as further argument to silence any critics (aka self-righteous dimwits)of a takeover.
With the march quarter expiring just about now and the stock down at these levels the tiger is preparing his pounce. Murdoch knows how to run a good business, he shouldn't be attacked for doing nothing more than running an enterprise that entertains people and makes them happy.
Finally, we have a stable, mature, intelligent and rational government that understands all this without fear of standing up against the 'critics' and I think Mr Murdoch can do a lot of good with TEN. Good luck to him and to free enterprise!
