Just heading out with friends to celebrate this great day. In about 70 days, this government has managed to make some serious headway towards repairing the spirit of this nation that Howard almost obliterated. As Sir William Deane said, it's just a start, but it's a great step.
Wasn't it fitting that Lil Johnny wasn't there to enjoy this wonderful occasion.......every dog has its day.
The amount of good that was achieved today was probably most evident simply in the faces of so many aboriginal people who attended the various functions. Wasn't it just wonderful to hear them say just how much it meant to them, and to see it reflected in their faces. Anyone who couldn't see that simply didn't want to see it.
As for compensation, bring it on!! They deserve it if indeed they want it. I think the aboriginal people will surprise many of you haters.
