The short answer is, yes. Why do I say this? Because the presentation on CELID delivery shows that the company is still working on HBV despite the fact that it indicated work was not to continue unless a partner was found. If our scientists could at least demonstrate some improved delivery efficiency, then we may find a partner willing to fund further development.
This would not be easy with such a tiny budget, but not impossible. My guess is that one or more large pharmas has already given and indication of the results they expect to see before they tip any money in. Getting these results, even in mice, may be too costly and that is what we don't know.
