I was just reading that article in Business Day. It has annoyed me for a while how China is portrayed as the coal-fired-power-station-building-Satan yet they have been doing more for renewable energy than we have in the West (Europe aside). Solar, wind, electric cars, they are doing a lot at the moment. I'm not sure what wave resources they have, however. PTR has some potential geothermal projects in China. I am hoping for some big things there, maybe one day. Plus their emissions per capita are a lot less than ours. This seems to be conveniently forgotten we we start complaining about how many coal fired power stations they are building. And we are a major international exporter of coal, maybe not to China though.
