Update: The ORRI ‘only’ covers TBN’s interest in the Origin assets. Ok so that might be worth a mere US$2bn but then add in the value of the ORRI on the remainder. US$4bn seems about right overall, probably conservative.
“Tamboran will also grant a 2.3% overriding royalty interest (ORRI) covering Tamboran’s EP 136 (100%), EP 161 (25%) and the Origin Assets (38.75%) to Sheffield for a cash consideration of $22 million.” 20 September 2022
