Triassic coal is not the Purni Fm which is where the thick coals are. The Triassic coal was only 3.5m. That is not mineable by any stretch of the imagination.
So the minimum Permian coal is deeper than 294m. As an example, if they find a 30m seam at 300m, that would be a strip ratio of about 7:1 BCM/t which is not economic for this type of coal.
This is why I said they will need to find Purni Fm shallower than 300m, and substantially shallower at that.
